This website is still under construction. It is being produced for the Business School at Huddersfield University. It is envisaged that it will have many uses not least as part of the Marketing on the Internet and E-Business modules.
Production of this website is part of a larger project within the Business School to produce 3D learning materials. The 3D element of this site is the facility offered to the user to manipulate the objects in 3D space. Modelling was carried out by a colleague. My role was to design the interface and put the site together which I did using Macromedia Dreamweaver. Initially I started using Macromedia Drumbeat to add the E-Commerce elements to the site but later decided to code this myself.
The site is now being made dynamic in that the pages of products are generated from a databse that I created in Microsoft Access. ASP is used to generate the items required by the user. The shopping trolley is still under construction.
The version of the site below is not ASP driven. This is due to the fact that the server is not currently set up to run ASP. I set up a Personal Web Server to run ASP on my PC.
