This prototype was made in Macromedia Director to accompany a written account of how Digital Video could be used to portray a particular subject. I chose the subject of the Bronte family and in my account explored the use of different camera angles, cameras shots, time lapse filming, camera movements, virtual walkabouts and iris masks to evoke atmosphere and aid narrative and interactivity.

Only part of the movie is included here as it incorporates several movie (.avi) clips that cannot be compressed into Shockwave format. These were made from photographs of Bronte related buildings which were manipulated in Adobe Premiere to make avi files. Adobe PhotoShop was used to create original graphics which were strung together in Premiere to make additional movie clips. Appropriate music was added to enhance atmosphere. It is included here as a Shockwave Movie. Click below to see the introduction it and it will open in a new window.

Click HERE to see the introductory section of Bronte. The playback controls won't work as there are no avi clips.
